3 – 5 Program
Ages 36 months – 5 years
The daycare offers a play based program. Glenbrooke Daycare staff is trained to engage with children holistically. The approach to learning prioritizes opportunities for children to interact with the natural world to challenge themselves, confidently take risks and socially develop through discovery.
Our approach has elements of more traditional structured play but also aims to stay current with emergent methodologies such as Holistic Learning, Reggio Emilia, and Montessori. Educators and children’s interests are intertwined and together we discover ways to learn about the world around us. We focus on the needs of each individual child and use differentiated learning methods to keep children engaged. We offer a variety of activities which include: music and movement activities, circle time, stories and games for the children to stimulate children’s growth and development.

Educators model and teach skills such as turn-taking, problem solving techniques, communication, language development, hygiene, and self-help skills. This program nurtures children’s health, well-being, and develops kindergarten readiness. We offer only full time care at our facility. Spots typically open up in September.
Your child is expected to bring a prepared lunch of a healthy nature. We do not warm up the children’s lunches due to the time spend and safety reasons. If the food needs to be kept warm we ask that you put it in a thermos with your child’s name on it or an ice pack if your child’s lunch needs to be kept cold. One healthy morning snack will be supplied by Glenbrooke Daycare.
